Motel 6 Albuquerque Coors Road

The only good thing was the staff, they were kind and very obviously stressed with the sheer amount of complaints they were receiving during this event weekend. The first room I was put into smelled horrible, it was subpar without towels/soap. They had apparently had a large number of guest that did not check out four hours prior and maids on strike so managers were scrambling to do what they could. They explained it all and explained security patrol times to us. However I did try calling the office several times one night because of a strange man walking around and knocking on mine and others doors. My second room was a sort of upgrade but there were bugs (ants and cockroaches) and the lock and the door was a little off to where it took many tries for it to actually close and stay locked. A handyman saw the struggle and came to help close it but that was that. My key randomly stopped working but all I did was go to the office and tell them my room number, which they didn’t verify, and gave me a new key. I figure anyone can go give a random number and get a new key?
