Haven't been here since the 90's and the renovated hotel and grounds are beautiful. Very pleased with the room, friendly and helpful staff, spa experience (rec'd Mt Airy special massage), pool, casino games, Pia's lounge and Bistecca by Mulino restaurant. Breakfast at Guy Fieri's was ok, nothing outstanding. Dinner at the buffet was a bit disappointing- food in chafing dishes overcooked, they ran out of beef at carving station (would have had to wait awhile for next beef roast to be done) and the desserts were a bit gummy. Biggest disappointment was the smell of cigarette smoke that really hits you at the casino, but permeates into other areas, even halls and rooms. Also, disappointed to see full ashtrays at bar and some slot machine areas. I still smelled the smoke in my clothes while unpacking. My ratings for 'public spaces,' despite the beautiful decor, is not excellent because of the smell. I don't think that would stop me from returning some day, but it was disappointing.
