Situated right on the beach, this hotel is in the heart of Waikiki. The guest rooms feature island-inspired décor and rich wood accents. Beach activities are available directly in front of the resort. The lobby is inviting, featuring Hawaiian décor and artifacts, such as a fully restored outrigger canoe showcased near registration. Hotel was run down and room was very small. NOT at all luxury. Bathroom was a tub shower with curtain and small. The area is loud and very busy. The beach chairs appear to be the hotel but are not and you rent them for $18 an hour. I would not recommend this hotel.

There are a lot of good things to mention about this hotel, but fundamentally the service delivery aspect by the staff was bad. The people were seemingly pleasant enough, but certain aspects of customer service and housekeeping just didn’t get done or were not as advertised. Our room did not receive any housekeeping services. This is from the organization that claims to be “the global leader in hospitality sanitation.” The cleaning products don’t really work when you never enter the room to apply them. Furthermore, their advertised “SpeediShuttle Hawaii airport shuttle service” doesn’t exist, but they will order a cab for you that costs an additional $45. On the positive side, the outdoor service on the beach, pool area, and at Pai’s Deli were first rate. Apparently, you have to be outdoors at this resort for the people to be attentive to customer service.
