Piccadilly Inn Airport

Hotel is very convenient to the airport and staff is friendly. Shuttle wass reliable even very early in the morning. Hotel needs major upgrades. Carpet throughout is old and stained. Room had an old smoke/musty smell. Sign indicated it is under new ownership so hopefully rooms will be renovated.

Front desk failing at basic ethical customer service practices. When a customer asks for housekeeping to clean their room, and front desk acknowledges that request. Failing to commit to that request, and the following day customer asks why their room was not cleaned and restocked. The answer from the front desk should not have been, "I don't know who you talked to yesterday about that." Not only that, but leave no other alternative to a basic apology to the customer, or not trying to make the mistake right. Reflection about hotels cleaning methods on washing towels. Please don't use an excessive amount of Clorox Bleach. If every new towel received stinks of Clorox Bleach then obviously the amount used was greatly exceeding the normal limit applied. Customers do not want to celebrate with excitement leaving the hotel due to having skin irritations and rashes.
