Wingate by Wyndham at Lake George

The hotel is old, it seems to have received a coat a paint, but needs frsh carpet and the bathrooms need to be remodeled. The rooms were not well lit, making me think they were hiding something. The sheets were clean through and the location is perfect.

I would never stay at this hotel again. We had a moldy shower curtain, the ceiling above the shower had water damage and was wet, rooms was okay, you get what you paid for. Thank god I found a cheaper deal Friday before we left because I would have been extremely upset if we paid close to $500 for 2 nights. You can never find any employees, and when I did, and addressed them if the issue with the mold, they told me we will have some wipe it off at 4:30, mind you this is 2:30. I told her I don’t want it wiped that’s not how mold works, and need a brand new shower curtain. My fiancé & I came back at 6:30, and the receptionist was there, I asked if the room was done, and she said “ oh no, we have not been in your room” after being told this would be done at 4:30 and it’s now 6:30. The hallways smelt awful, they had some smell I couldn’t put my finger on, but thankfully our room didn’t smell, just had water damage and mold. The pool looks so much better in the pictures, it was filthy. I understand with it being an outdoor pool with the leaves, floated, but the pool floor being completely dirty with dirt? We were completely dissatisfied with the hotel, and pray nobody else books with them. I wish I could rate this a negative. One last final thing, it was not an issue for my fiancé & I but was for older clients, breakfast is in the 2nd floor with no elevator, there is a set of stairs you have to climb up, and the staff does not allow you to take food out of the breakfast area.
