Overview
Located in the Peruvian Andes in Cusco, just 5 hours from the historic center, the Rainbow Mountain is becoming the main attraction to see after or before Machu Picchu. As you can imagine, the mountain is famous for its natural, multi-colored beauty at an astonishing height of 5200 m above sea level. This rainbow appearance is created by the sediment of minerals throughout the area that gives the mountain the turquoise, lavender, golden and other colors.
