Do you want an alternative to Sunday shopping? Come to Valpolicella, the homeland of Amarone! Relax among the hills covered with vineyards and olive trees, where you can taste His Majesty's Amarone. Departure is at 10.00 from Verona, and we will immediately head to the extrordinary land of Valpolicella and you will enjoy panoramic views of the hills and vineyards. We will stop at San Giorgio di Valpolicella, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, or in Marano, from where it is possible to visit the temple of Minerva or the church of Santa Maria in Valverde. We will then move to a local winery, where you can satisfy all your curiosities about the wine production, and you will taste the prestigious DOC and DOCG wines of Valpolicella, including Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto. - In the cellar the temperature is constant 15 Celsius degrees (59 Fahrenheit), so we suggest to take with you a sweater or a jacket; if it will be possible we will try to show you the vineyards, so it’s recommended to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes.
- the tour leader, in respect of all the guests, will wait for you in case of late maximum for 15 minutes.
- We ask you to inform us if you have any appointment after the tour (if you booked a train ticket, an opera show in Arena or a reservation for a restaurant), so we can do our best to respect the schedule.
