State emporia buildings in this area, as are the head offices of the major banks and airlines. This is a place shouldn’t miss, at least for its architecture and the bustle of daily life. You’ll travel along Janpath, is one of New Delhi’s busiest roads. As the road heads south you’ll come to Rajpath with the Gate of India to the east and Parliament House to the west. The area of New Delhi is a bit farther south and the Diplomatic Enclave of Chanakyapuri is not far away. Chandni Chowk was built in the 19th century by the Mughals, today it is one of the country's best known wholesale markets for textiles, electronic goods, and watches.
