Overview
Explore the tunnel or Umong (Thai) built by King Mengrai (the founder of Chiang Mai) to give monks a place to meditate in peace. See a Buddha field of broken sculptures and a library-museum in the temple area. Continue to Wat Doi Suthep, located at the top of Suthep mountain, where a relic of the Buddha is kept in the golden stupa. Climb a nag a stairway to the main temple area and marvel at the views of Chiang Mai city from the balcony.
