Overview
The chinampas considered floating gardens of Xochimilco are among the last & unique in the world, designed by mesoamerican farmers, they were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. The 2 hour Trajinera ride (colorful boat) accompanied by a guide, also an entrance to a local herpetarium where you can see the axolotls, endemic animals of the Valley of Mexico and their physical pecularites. The tour includes round transfer from your lodging place, to the pier and back.
