Discover the ruins of Pompeii and the crater of Mount Vesuvius on a full-day guided tour from Sorrento. See the Forum, the Capitolium, the Macellum, the Theatre, and many other important sculptures and archaeological remains. Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Sorrento and transfer by minibus to Pompeii with your archeologist guide. Visit the ruins of Pompeii, the Roman city that was buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Admire the Forum, the Capitolium, the Macellum, the Theatre, and many other important sculptures and archaeological remains. After that, jump on board to be transferred to the entrance of Mount Vesuvius at a height of 1000 meters. Once there with your alpine guide, climb up the crater where you have free time to enjoy the breathtaking view over the Gulf of Naples. Early in the afternoon, return to Sorrento to your hotel or meeting point.
