Overview
A visit to the Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Samaná is one of the most impressive excursions in the Dominican Republic. In the spectacular Samaná Bay and Silver Bank, located in the northeast of the country, you will have the opportunity to observe up close the approximately 2,000 humpback whales that arrive each year between December and March to reproduce in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. This full-day excursion will offer you an authentic adventure along the eastern coastal plain of the Dominican Republic. You will ride to the great El Limón Waterfall, enjoy the sun on the paradisiacal beach of Cayo Levantado and taste traditional food at the ranch. The estimated transportation time between the different points is approximately 3 hours.
