Overview
This fascinating tour will take you through Los Glaciares National Park to Estancia Nibepo Aike, a place where centuries of stories converge. At the Nibepo Aike Ranch, dedicated to raising cattle, sheep and horses, you will have the opportunity to tour its corrals and sheds, and witness a demonstration of manual shearing, a tradition that has been kept alive for more than 100 years. After the visit, you will enjoy a delicious Patagonian lamb roast in the ranch's Quincho. Then, a walk awaits you to the Los Pioneros pier, where you will begin a navigation along the South Arm and Rico Arm of Lake Argentino. During the navigation, you will have the opportunity to contemplate the imposing south face of the Perito Moreno glacier, where you will be able to witness landslides and see how its front approaches the Magellan Peninsula. - Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- If total or partial navigation is not possible, an alternative plan is made by accessing the Perito Moreno Glacier from the Nibepo Aike Ranch by land, and if possible, navigating in front of the Glacier. There is no refund.
- What to bring: Sunscreen and sunglasses. Sun hat or warm hat. Trekking shoes or comfortable shoes. Comfortable clothes to walk in a mountain environment. Coat to withstand temperatures of 0°C Buff or face and neck protector. Waterproof jacket since they can touch light or intense rainy days.
- Lunch: roast lamb, variety of salads, dessert, soft drinks and wine. Vegetarian option (lentil and vegetable stew)
- Reference schedules: schedules may vary depending on the weather or group dynamics. 09:30 am: the tour of the hotels in El Calafate begins. 2:00 p.m.: start of navigation from Los Pioneros pier 4:00 p.m.: disembark at Bajo las Sombras. 7:00 p.m.: arrival in El Calafate (those who return by boat to Nibepo Aike arrive at Los Pioneros pier around 6:15 p.m.)
