Start in the picturesque Wachau Valley (UNESCO), known for vineyards and medieval towns. Visit the Baroque masterpiece Melk Abbey, perched above the Danube, and explore its church, Marble Hall, library, terrace, and gardens. Traunkirchen is a peaceful lakeside village surrounded by alpine peaks. Stroll the scenic promenade or take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Traunsee. Lake Traunsee is deeper than Lake Hallstatt, offering a unique natural experience for visitors. The boat trip is not available from November to April. In case of bad weather, the boat trip may be canceled. End in Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace and a Sound of Music location. See Mirabell Gardens, Mozart’s Birthplace, Getreidegasse, Salzburg Cathedral, Residenzplatz, and Mozartplatz.
