Running from the state's northern border through Hot Springs National Park and ending in Arkadelphia, SR 7 encompasses lofty mountains and numerous lakes and rivers. The road is popular for leisurely drives and photographic opportunities. En route to Hot Springs, SR 7 crosses two national forests, the Ozark and the Ouachita, and the Buffalo National River.
