About LebanonOriginally named after the Wyota Indians, Lebanon was later renamed after Lebanon, Tenn. In the late 1800s residents discovered that the city's water contained magnetic properties. People flocked to the Gasconade Hotel to bathe in water that was said to contain healing qualities.
