Orlando, Florida, is home to a myriad of different experiences, from romantic spas to amazing restaurants and even fun outdoor adventures like sailing and horseback riding. Whether you’re planning a trip to Orlando or live nearby, there are plenty of romantic things to do in this beautiful city.

Orlando has something to offer any couple that’s looking for a date. Whether you like to enjoy the great outdoors, watch a show, or just relax and chill, there’s a romantic experience in Orlando for you.

Outdoor Adventures

If you’re the type who enjoys the outdoors, there are plenty of things to do in Orlando. Take a day trip north on I-4 to find Hidden Palms Ranch in the Lake Jesup Conservation Area. The ranch truly exemplifies North Orlando’s natural beauty, and you can enjoy it with a private trail ride through the area.

Plan something a little different with a morning balloon flight from Bob’s Balloons. Ride a hot-air balloon over Central Florida’s scenic landscape for an hour or so at sunrise. The balloon rides are usually for a group, but you can arrange private flights if you’d like to enjoy the flight as a couple.

A quintessential Orlando experience is taking a pontoon boat tour through amazing Venetian-style canals and past massive waterfront mansions. The Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour comes highly recommended for those visiting Orlando from out of town.

Dinner and a Movie

As you might expect, Orlando is bursting with diverse restaurants, and there are plenty of theaters as well. If you want to get both a movie and a meal, then check out the Enzian Theater and Eden Bar. The independent theater features 35mm cult classics and the latest favorites from the indie genre. Eden Bar also has the distinction of being one of the best outdoor dining spots in Orlando.

Speaking of outdoor dining, you can do this almost year-round in Orlando. Some other great spots to eat outside include the Yellow Dog Eats for a casual experience, or try the Wine Lover’s Board at Maxine’s on Shine for a more classy experience.

If you’re looking for something truly elegant, then you can’t miss the five-course meal custom tailored to you and your partner’s preference at Highball & Harvest. Other high-quality locations to enjoy a meal include Soseki Modern Omakase and Hillstone Restaurant in Winter Park.

Spa Therapy

It’s hard to beat some spa therapy for relaxing and enjoying each other’s company in a peaceful environment. If you book your appointment at the Ritz-Carlton Spa, you’ll also get access to the outdoor spa pool for the day. Add in a couples bath, and you’ll enjoy time in a private hydrotherapy tub followed by a glass of champagne and some chocolate-covered strawberries. End your day with a special dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants, such as the previously mentioned Highball & Harvest.

Book something a little different with a date at My Beer Spa. You’ll enjoy soaking in tubs of antioxidants and hops while sipping on unlimited glasses of craft beer and wine. The private rooms can be booked for an entire hour and include access to a sauna, a private bathroom, and an area to relax with your wine or beer.

Another option is the Couples Package at Blue Harmony Spa located in the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. This package gets you a 50-minute couples massage and bath soak, followed by champagne and strawberries. Make it a weekend with a couple’s suite at the resort, which includes private soak tubs and an outdoor spa garden.

Music and Performance

Couples who love music and performance have no shortage of date-night options in Orlando. Catch weekly live jazz sessions at VINIA Wine & Kitchen in Winter Park or at Pilars in Downtown Winter Garden on Thursday night or Sunday night, respectively.

A list of the most romantic things to do in Orlando isn’t complete without mentioning the Doctor Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. You can get tickets for a Broadway show, watch the Orlando Ballet, or take in a concert by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, among many other live performance options.
