Hotel cleanliness and disinfection standards
Just as you’re paying more attention to cleaning and disinfecting your home, hotels are taking similar steps. They’re using hospital-grade cleaning products throughout the hotel and, in guest rooms, they’re disinfecting high-touch areas such as light switches and door handles.
Similar precautions are being taken in lobbies and other common places, such as elevators. When permitted to open, areas such as fitness centers, swimming pools and meeting rooms will be cleaned more often with disinfecting chemicals. Some areas may also be sanitized with electrostatic fogging, ozone generators or ultraviolet devices.Though policies differ by hotel and the type of rate you receive, hotels have updated reservation policies to account for the current environment. Carefully check the terms and conditions when you book — allow for cancellations and changes.
