ABBA Arena
1 Pudding Mill Ln., London, England
One of London’s most innovative entertainment venues, the ABBA Arena was purpose-built in 2022 specifically for ABBA Voyage—a live concert that features the digital avatars of Swedish pop icons ABBA, known as ABBAtars. These virtual performers are paired with the band’s original vocals and supported by a live 10-piece band. The arena holds up to 3,000 fans, and its hexagonal design ensures great views from every vantage point.
The basics
Spectators buy seated or dance floor tickets to enjoy the 360-degree, immersive ABBA Voyage experience. Enveloped in the arena’s swirling lighting and special effects, they watch, sing, and dance as the ABBA avatars—Agnetha, Björn, Anni-Frid, and Benny–perform a setlist accompanied by live musicians. Advanced motion capture technology blurs the real and digital so spectators can believe their heroes are performing in person.
Prebook online to secure your preferred seats or dance floor spaces for your chosen performance. Alternatively, you can book hassle-free round-trip transfers to the ABBA Arena from central London. Or, purchase a full ticket-and-transfer package with tickets and a return to central London.
Things to know before you go
ABBA Voyage at the ABBA Arena is a can’t-miss for Abba and pop music fans.
Performances last 90 minutes, with no intermission.
The arena is fully accessible for people using wheelchairs.
On-site amenities include restaurants, bars, shops, restrooms, and Wi-Fi.
Small bags can be stowed in the free cloakroom (although space is limited), but large bags are not permitted inside the venue.
How to get there
The ABBA Arena stands on Pudding Mill Lane near east London’s Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park. Take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Pudding Mill station or the underground to Stratford tube station: It’s a roughly 25-minute walk or DLR ride to Pudding Mill from there. Heavy local traffic makes driving challenging, and arena parking is restricted to accessible parking spaces, which must be prebooked. There’s a black cab stand on nearby Barbers Road.
When to get there
Generally, a single performance of ABBA Voyage runs every Monday, Thursday, and Friday evening, with matinee and evening shows on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s worth arriving early: The arena doors open an hour and 45 minutes before shows to let you enjoy the bars, eateries, and atmosphere. Showtimes can vary during holiday periods, so double-check schedules when booking.
The ultimate ABBA Voyage experience
Make your ABBA Voyage experience extra special by upgrading your tickets to include access to the ABBA Arena’s Oceanbird Lounge. By upgrading, you’ll enjoy priority arena entry and access to this super-stylish lounge where you can relax and enjoy a generous selection of included drinks and foods like prosecco, wine, beer, cold cuts, and desserts—a prelude to the show.
Ways to explore
Given the popularity of ABBA Voyage, it’s a good idea to plan ahead and purchase tickets in advance to secure your preferred date and ticket category. Visitors can choose between seated tickets or dance floor access—the latter accommodates around 1,500 standing guests—while the remaining seats are spread throughout the auditorium and balcony. For added convenience, many travelers opt for an ABBA Voyage package, which includes round-trip coach transfers from central London and the option to bundle tickets in your chosen category, often with the added benefit of skip-the-line entry on arrival.
Accessibility
The venue is wheelchair-accessible with plenty of wheelchair spaces, as well as seats suitable for wheelchair users to transfer into. It has Blue Badge parking spaces, which must be booked in advance. British Sign Language Interpreted performances are available, and the venue has a closed-loop hearing system.
Age limits
The ABBA Voyage show is recommended for visitors aged 6 and above. Children under 3 are not allowed in the venue, and the dance floor is not recommended for kids under 12.
