POINT OF INTEREST

Allianz Stadium

Corso Gaetano Scirea, 50, Turin, Piedmont, 10151

Also known as Juventus Stadium, this world-class soccer venue is known simply as “lo stadium” in Turin. It’s the kicking ground of the popular Serie A soccer team Juventus, and it’s a modern venue that suits its top-performing team well. If you’re not there to watch a match, you can enter on a tour and visit the on-site Juventus Museum, which showcases more than a few trophies to check out.

The Basics

Able to seat upwards of 41,000 fans, Juventus Stadium offers a thrilling spectacle on game days, though it’s also a popular destination throughout the year. Its Juventus Museum is a popular fan destination, while behind-the-scenes tours of the stadium are offered throughout the week. Juventus Stadium is also host to the Area12 Shopping Center, which comprises numerous shops and food outlets, as well as an official Juventus megastore, where fans can shop for hundreds of themed products and even personalize their own jerseys.

Tickets to the Juventus Museum, as well as combination museum-and-stadium-tour tickets, can be purchased online in advance of your visit.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • For those planning to drive to the stadium, it hosts upwards of 4,000 parking spaces on-site.

  • Tickets to games can typically be booked on Juventus’ website 2–4 weeks in advance; online ticket-exchange platforms offer another, more flexible option.

  • Juventus Stadium is accessible for families and includes discounted family rates as well as stroller-storage facilities.

  • The stadium is known for its green ethos: Materials from the former stadium were reused in its construction, and it employs solar panels and other eco-friendly features.

How to Get There

Juventus Stadium is located just northwest of central Turin; depending on traffic, the drive from the city center typically takes 15–35 minutes. Alternatively, the stadium is served by bus 72 and 72b, as well as tram 3. On game days, the special 9 tram runs between Turin and the stadium.

When to Get There

The Juventus Museum and Juventus Stadium are typically open daily except on Tuesdays and on December 25 (though hours can vary seasonally and due to game schedules). It’s possible to tour the museum and stadium on nongame days, while select tours, held prior to game play, are available at separate rates.

Juventus F.C.

Founded in 1897 and jokingly nicknamed La Vecchia Signora (The Old Woman), Juventus Football Club is one of Italy’s most successful and popular soccer teams. It has won numerous top tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League, and is renowned for its eclectic fanbase: Many Juventus followers hail from across Italy and beyond.

Ways to explore

Juventus (aka Juve) tickets go on general sale about two weeks before a match, and you should buy these from the official Juventus website. If you want to get them earlier than this, you need to be a club member.

If you’re more interested in the stadium and the team history, stadium guides lead 50-minute tours that cover everything you need to know. These are normally in Italian, although you can pay extra for an English audio guide when you enter. Tours finish in the Juventus Museum, where you can browse the exhibits at your leisure.

Accessibility

The Juventus Museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility. While the official Allianz Stadium Tour takes visitors up and down ramps, stairs, and long walkways, those with reduced mobility can organize a special tour of the stadium in advance.

Age limits

There are no age restrictions; however, parents with young kids should note that strollers aren’t allowed.

Address

The Allianz Stadium is in the northern part of Turin. You’ll need to drive or use public transportation to reach it from the center. Locals usually recommend against US-based rideshare apps; if you need a ride, use Wetaxi instead.

Driving

If you have a car with you on vacation, take the Autostrada A55 highway and follow the exit signs for Allianz Stadium. Parking in one of the large nearby garages needs to be booked online via the stadium’s official website.

Public transportation

Take the metro’s Line 1 to Bernini station, and then the shuttle bus to the stadium. Alternatively, take tram 3 from central Turin to Pervinche. This stop is a 15-minute walk from the stadium.

Best times to visit

The early tours are the quietest. Arrive 20 minutes in advance of your time slot for security checks.

Best days to visit

Tours take place daily, but the midweek options are the least busy. You can even book tours on match days, unlike at many other stadiums.

Best months to visit

The Serie A season is from August to May, so expect the stadium to be busier during these months. For fewer crowds, visit in the fall or winter.
