Billed as the world’s largest year-round inflatable water park, AquaFun Waterpark in Dubai stretches for 253 feet (77 meters) along the Persian Gulf waters of the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) neighborhood. Water-loving kids and adults come to splash and tumble over its inflatable obstacles, and play on its big bouncy castle, wobbly bridges, trampolines, and slides.
The basics
Composed of more than 115 floating obstacles and games—all arranged to spell “Dubai” when seen from above—AquaFun is a great way to play and cool off in the sun. Swim to the inflatables to slither down slides, cross bridges, swing from ropes, climb blockades, and more.
All tickets to AquaFun grant you full-day access to the park, with the freedom to depart and return any number of times during opening hours. Book tickets ahead online to secure admission for your preferred date: the park caps each day’s visitor numbers. Discounted group tickets are available for groups of five or more guests.
Things to know before you go
Kids must be at least 6 years old and 3.6 feet (1.1 meters) tall to enter AquaFun.
All guests must be able to swim, and are required to swim around 50 feet (15 meters) to the park from the beach.
The park is lifeguard-patrolled and guests must wear the supplied lifejackets at all times.
Facilities include changing rooms and rental lockers. Showers are available at JBR beach.
How to get there
AquaFun fringes JBR beach, set alongside JBR’s residential towers. The nearest tram stations are JBR 1 and 2, both about a 15-minute stroll from the beach via The Walk at JBR. Alternatively, cabs and Dubai’s 8 and F55 buses will take you to JBR. If driving from Downtown Dubai, take Exit 32 from Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Marina, and find payable parking at The Walk and Marina Mall.
When to get there
AquaFun is open daily year-round from approximately 9am to around sunset. The park is popular; during Dubai’s peak November-March season, it’s wise to visit on weekdays, and early or late on any day to avoid the busiest times. To avoid Dubai’s fierce midday heat In summer, consider arriving as early as possible or from mid-afternoon.
