Aqualand El Arenal
Autovia Palma Arenal Km 15, El Arenal, Majorca, 76000
Let loose at Aqualand El Arenal, Mallorca’s biggest water park. Situated just south of Palma on the island’s west coast, this popular park is stacked with slides, pools, and amusements for all ages and tastes, from adults who simply want to relax to teens wanting to brave daredevil rides.
The basics
Aqualand El Arenal boasts around 20 water attractions that run the gamut from high-speed to sedate. Daredevils can tackle super-steep slides, families can raft lazy river waters, and little ones can splash for hours in the interactive children’s pools. The park’s tree-studded lawns and crop of restaurants also provide plenty of places to relax and recharge in between aquatic antics.
Prebook all-day tickets online to save time and hassle, and consider purchasing a Fast Pass—available at the park and also usually online—to reduce waiting times at the top rides. Or, make things easy by purchasing a ticket-and-transfer combo that includes park admission, return transport, and pickup and drop-off at select Mallorca hotels.
Things to know before you go
Aqualand El Arenal is very popular in high summer, so book online as far ahead as possible.
The park is accessible for people who use wheelchairs and those with limited mobility.
Visitors can bring food and water to enjoy at designated picnic spots.
Facilities include restaurants, a shop, restrooms, car parking, rental lockers, and sunloungers.
How to get there
Aqualand El Arenal sits in S’Arenal, a beach resort around 20 minutes south of Palma by road. If driving, follow the Ma-19 westward before taking Exit 13 onto the Ma-6014 where you’ll find the park and its good-sized, payable car park. Alternatively, catch a line 23 or 504 bus from Palma—both stop near the gates—hire a cab, or book one of the ticket-and-transfer day trips that leave from select areas of the island.
When to get there
Aqualand is only open in summer: usually mid-morning to evening, daily, from May– to September. Double-check times as they can vary. The park is popular in July and August, and at weekends, so aim to visit on weekdays. Arrive early to beat peak crowds and reduce the time you spend in Mallorca’s afternoon heat—average August highs are 85°F (30°C). The park tends to be quieter in May, June, and September.
Planning your trip to Aqualand El Arenal
When visiting Aqualand El Arenal, it’s sensible to bring water shoes to help prevent slips and falls, as well as the essentials of swimsuits, towels, and sunscreen. You’ll also need cash or cards to pay for extras such as storage lockers, sunloungers, snacks, parking, and any last-minute swim stuff you might need from the shop.
