The ultra-modern museum contains pavilions dedicated to the major brands of the Volkswagen Group, including Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, and Škoda, and each boasts exhibits about how the cars are made.
The Basics
In addition to the pavilions dedicated to Volkswagen’s various brands, the Autostadt complex also offers the Zeithaus, a museum that showcases the vehicles that set the design and technological trends throughout automotive history; the Scent Tunnel, a contemporary artwork designed by Olafur Eliasson; and the Car Towers, high-rise stacks that have capacity for 400 vehicles.
You can explore independently at your own pace, or get a more detailed look at the museum on a 60-minute guided tour, which can be arranged any day of the year, are offered in more than 20 languages, and can be tailored to the interests of both adults and kids. You must pre-book these tour to accommodate your group’s language requirements and other needs.
