Bayside Marketplace features both local and national brands, as well as unique items—including souvenirs—for all budgets. While there are no Bayside Marketplace tours, many boat tours, bike tours, water taxis, and fishing charters leave from here. It’s a great place to board a Biscayne Bay cruise or boat ride to South Beach.

• In the evenings and on weekends, the market’s atmosphere often gets energetic with dancing and live music.

How to get there

Bayside Marketplace is located right on the water on Biscayne Boulevard. There is plenty of paid parking available, and many routes arrive on Miami Beach and South Florida public transportation and Metrorail. It is about a 15-minute walk (less than one mile/1.6 kilometers) from the heart of downtown Miami.

When to get there

The marketplace is open daily from 10am and stays open later on Fridays and Saturdays. Closing hours, and individual restaurant and shop hours, vary—all are available on the Bayside Marketplace website. Expect crowds when cruise ships are in town, which is most days. If you’re looking for live music, your best bet is to visit later in the week.

See Miami from the water

After exploring Miami by land, see a different side of the city by heading out onto the water. Sightseeing tours of Biscayne Bay allow for uninterrupted views of the Miami skyline, its many landmarks, and even some celebrity homes. It's easy to visit the waterfront 2-story mall in the heart of Miami's downtown—whether you're looking to window-shop, eat, or soak up the tropical breezes. Those staying nearby can walk, or you can pay to park or take public transportation. Plan to spend a few hours walking around—more if you decide to eat at one of its restaurants or take a tour.

There are no dedicated Bayside Marketplace tours, but many boat tours, bike tours, and Miami excursions depart outside the mall. It's also where you can board a Biscayne Bay cruise or boat ride to South Beach.

The mall is generally accessible; however, wheelchair users on the northeast side need to use the parking garage elevator to access the upper floors.

Driving

The Bayside Marketplace is directly accessed by major thoroughfares, including Biscayne Boulevard. The mall offers an on-site paid parking garage.

Public transportation

Take Inner Loop, Omni Loop, or Brickell Loop tram services to College Bayside; a number of Miami bus routes also stop right outside, as do local water taxis.

The mall is open from mid-morning to late evening. Hours may vary depending on the day of the week, and some shops and restaurants may operate individual opening hours.

As the Bayside Marketplace is open daily, there’s no bad time to visit. That said, weekends and school holidays are likely to be especially busy.

Best months to visit

If you can, avoid the summer months in Miami, when heat and humidity can be intense. Try visiting during the late autumn, winter, or early spring instead.
