The Basics
Situated in City Park, the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden is a standout attraction showcasing a plethora of flora and fauna, including upward of 900 animal species. Daily activities such as animal feedings and 3D film screenings enrich guests’ experience. Set aside about four hours for your visit, if you want to see it all.
Students, seniors, and Budapest Card holders enjoy discounted entry.

What to See at the Zoo & Botanical Garden
Although this charming attraction was almost destroyed in World War II, its many historic buildings still stand today. Look for quirky structures like the art-nouveau-style Bird House alongside more recently renovated spaces. Exhibit highlights include the reptile house and the Madagascar house, where the lemurs hang out. Younger guests shouldn’t miss the petting farm.
