Camana Bay
Camana Bay, Cayman Islands
A waterfront town in Grand Cayman, Camana Bay has earned a reputation for its shopping, restaurants, and vibrant farmers market. Located in the Seven Mile Beach area, it draws travelers with its pretty promenades for taking it all in, and there’s a visitor center as well.
The basics
Spread over 685 acres, Camana Bay is a bustling town with palm tree–lined promenades. It’s excellent for a few hours of quality shopping and dining, though it’s also possible to spend an entire day here. Top attractions include the 75-foot (22-meter) Observation Tower—in which you climb up alongside a mosaic installation to sweeping views from the top—as well as a seasonal farmers market and the only movie theater on Grand Cayman. This is one of the most popular places on the island for a bit of retail therapy.
Things to know before you go
Camana Bay is ideal for shopping and dining.
The area is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, and the Observation Tower has an elevator.

How to get there
From the Seven Mile Beach corridor, stroll along the Rise, a pedestrianized walking path that connects the Paseo to Camana Bay. It’s also possible to reach Camana Bay by car (parking is free), taxi, and even by boat (free day docking is available, or take the ferry). The Camana Bus offers free transportation throughout the town.
When to get there
Confirm opening hours ahead of a visit, but most shops are open Monday–Saturday from morning to evening (and are closed Sundays), and most restaurants are open daily from morning to night. The visitor center is open Monday–Saturday from morning to early evening. The most popular time of year to visit Grand Cayman is from November through April, with peak season from December to February.
Playing in the Camana Bay fountains
One of the most striking features of Camana Bay is its fountains, which spray up to 30 feet (9 meters) in the air in Jasmine Court. Running from morning to night, they’re a popular place for kids to play and cool off—just be sure to bring a towel.
