Things to know before you go
There are over 3 miles (5 kilometers) of paved, wheelchair-accessible trails.
Dogs on a leash are permitted in certain areas, but are not allowed within the nature preserve.
There is limited shade along some paths, so bring sunscreen and a hat.
How to get there
Clark County Wetlands Park is about 20–30 minutes from the Strip. To reach it by car from points north, take I-15 South to Tropicana Avenue. If you’re staying on the Strip, consider using a rideshare service or taxi to get to the park. Bus routes such as the 201, which runs along Tropicana Avenue, also stop close to the park.
When to get there
Trails in Clark County Wetlands Park are open every day, from dawn to dusk. Overall, the best time to visit Las Vegas is during the spring or fall, when the weather is milder, making outdoor activities like hiking and bird-watching more enjoyable. Early mornings and late afternoons are also ideal for spotting wildlife.
