The Basics

First opened in 1988, Cocodrilo Park was once exclusively dedicated to caring for reptiles, and the center houses over 300 crocodiles. Nowadays, you’ll also find a variety of exotic animals housed at this zoo and rescue center, from Bengal tigers to baboons, desert foxes, parrots, and even ostriches. To save time on the day of your visit, book your tickets in advance or purchase a tour package; some offer skip-the-line benefits and hassle-free transfers.

How to Get There

The most affordable way to get to Cocodrilo Park is via the center’s free bus service. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, the bus departs from the Maspalomas resort at 10am, returning at 2.15pm. On Mondays, it leaves from Mogán at 10am, returning at 2pm. Check the website for a complete list of stops. Alternatively, you can join a tour that includes round-trip transportation.

When to Get There

Cocodrilo Park is open from 10am to 5pm daily Sunday through Friday and is closed on Saturdays. The ticket office closes at 4pm. To make the most of your visit, you’ll want to arrive early and avoid visiting on a Sunday, when the center is at its most crowded.
