Dehler Park
Billings, MT
Known for being the home baseball stadium for the Billings Mustangs, as well as the MSU Billings Yellowjackets, Dehler Park is a great place to see a game when you’re in Montana’s biggest city. With stadium seating on one level only, there’s truly not a bad seat in the house. Plus, any day provides a family-friendly atmosphere and good food while you enjoy one of America’s classic pastimes.
The basics
To experience Dehler Park in all its glory, book your tickets in advance and catch a baseball game. Apart from heading there on a game day, some Montana visitors may just see the exterior of the stadium during a Billings city tour or bus tour.
Things to know before you go
- Dehler Park offers free parking on game days, and the main parking area is just behind the scoreboard near right field.
- The stadium opens only an hour before the start of each game, so there’s no need to arrive too early, unless you’re planning to tailgate in the parking area.
- No food or drinks are allowed to be brought inside Dehler Park. You can purchase food inside the stadium—the concession areas are on the first and third base concourse levels.
- There are restroom facilities on-site, with baby-changing areas available.
How to get there
To drive to Dehler Park, take I-90 and get off at exit 450. Then, continue along 27th Street until you see the ballpark on the right-hand side of the street between 9th and 10th Avenues. You can also take a taxi, rideshare service, or the Billings MET Transit bus system to the park.
When to get there
Dehler Park is a favorite in the summertime, when the baseball season is underway and the weather’s nice for spending time outdoors. If you’re in Billings during the summer, it’s best to prebook tickets to a game.
More kid-friendly attractions
If you’re looking for more family fun in Billings, the city’s Wise Wonders Science and Discovery Museum on 2nd Avenue North is a great pick. The museum provides a budget-friendly admission price, as well as plenty of ways for kids to play and learn during their time there. You can also head to ZooMontana or The Reef Indoor Water Park to round out your trip.
