Designer Outlet Parndorf

Designer Outlet Strasse 1, Parndorf, Burgenland, 7111

While Vienna is known for its museum culture, the city also has luxury shops to entice a fashion-focused, high-spending crowd. If shopping is your thing but you don’t want to burn through your euros, consider Designer Outlet Parndorf. Close to both Vienna and Bratislava, this McArthurGlen outlet has 160 designer stores with savings of up to 70 percent.

The basics

Designer Outlet Parndorf is within a 30-minute drive from Vienna and Bratislava, and a 2-hour drive from Budapest. Day trips from these cities offer convenient round-trip transport plus ample time to shop ‘til you drop. Once there, the outlet offers the classic McArthurGlen experience with a mix of international mainstream names and luxury labels, including Adidas, Armani, Bally, Converse, Diesel, Guess, and Jimmy Choo.

The outlet is laid out village style, with plenty of clean outdoor space to stroll around and eat alfresco when the weather is kind. There’s a good mix of restaurants and you’ll find options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kids can have fun, too: There’s a free playground plus a paid-for Dinoland space where kids over 3 can be left with professional nannies.

Things to know before you go

  • There’s plenty of free parking, although some visitors find the spaces quite small. If you have a bigger car, you’ll find wider spaces in the parking lot opposite Adidas.
  • Dogs are welcome so long as they have a leash, although some stores won’t permit entry. There is a dog fountain in the center.
  • You can bring old, unwanted, and even unwashed clothes to recycle at the outlet and receive a 10 percent discount to use at select stores.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the outlet mall.
  • The site is wheelchair-accessible, and guests can borrow a wheelchair for free. A small deposit may be payable.
  • Tourists can reclaim VAT on purchases for tax-free shopping.

How to get there

The outlet, located just off the A4 motorway, is easy to reach by car. However, you can also take a train from Vienna or Bratislava to the Parndorf Ort train station, then transfer to a shuttle bus bound for Designer Outlet Parndorf. Alternatively, there are shuttle bus services from Vienna with fixed pickup and drop-off times, as well as multi-day sightseeing trips that stop at the outlet mall.

When to get there

Designer Outlet Parndorf is open daily. Savvy bargain hunters should look out for the summer sale season—when heavy discounts apply to already-low prices—which typically starts at the beginning of July and runs through early August. The winter sale season seems less predictable, sometimes kicking off as early as the first week in December. You’ll also find big discounts generally appearing after Christmas through January.

The Privilege Club, Parndorf style

If you’re a serious shopper, it’s worth signing up for the Designer Outlet Parndorf Privilege Club before your visit. The membership will get you first dibs on new shops and one-off sales, plus exclusive invitations to late-night shopping and store-opening events. Time your visit to match your birthday, and you’ll even get a further discount on your items. It’s free to sign up online.
