How to Get There

The Amsterdam Diamond Museum is located at Paulus Potterstraat 8 in central Amsterdam, a short walk from the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The museum is easily accessible from the Amsterdam Centraal train station via the N47 bus, or Metro Line 2 or 5.

When to Get There

The museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm. This attraction is less busy than its neighbors, but does get its share of visitors, so go early in the morning and book admission tickets and tours in advance to save time.

The Diamond Museum’s Notable Collections

The Diamond Museum houses a rich permanent collection, including world-famous pieces such as the Katana, the Rembrandt Diamond, and a diamond-encrusted Ape Skull. The collection features diamonds of all shapes and sizes, from one of the smallest diamonds in the world—barely visible to the naked eye—to replicas of some of the largest and most famous diamonds in the world.
