Dubai Frame
Zabeel Park Jogging Track, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Resembling a giant picture frame, the Dubai Frame is an example of architectural ingenuity. Standing around 492 feet (150 meters) tall and measuring 312 feet (95 meters) wide, this massive structure can be seen from the ground and atop its 48th-floor observation deck.
The basics
For some of the city's best views, look no further than the Dubai Frame. Hop aboard an ultrafast elevator, which takes you to the 48th-floor Sky Deck in 75 seconds. Step off onto a glass floor and look down at the city below you, or gaze out of massive floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of the city in the distance. Book your ticket in advance to secure your slot, and opt for a tour with transfers for maximum convenience.
Things to know before you go
The Dubai Frame was designed to follow the golden ratio and is a must-see for fans of architecture and design.
If you’re afraid of heights or prone to vertigo, you might find the glass floor at the Dubai Frame disconcerting or dizzying.
Large bags and strollers are prohibited on the deck, but you can store them at the Gate 4 counter.
How to get there
Dubai Frame is situated in Zabeel Park at Gate 4, right by Max Metro Station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. The easiest way to get there is to book a ticket package that includes hotel transfers or take a taxi or rideshare to the entrance.
When to get there
The Dubai Frame is open daily from morning until evening throughout the year. However, timings can vary during public holidays and Ramadan, so it's wise to check the website for any restrictions before heading out. Visiting during the day and after dark provides different experiences. For the best of both worlds and great photo ops, try visiting right before sunset and sticking around until it gets dark.
Visiting the Burj Khalifa
About a 15-minute drive from the Dubai Frame stands Dubai's most famous structure: the Burj Khalifa. At 2,717 feet (828 meters) high, it's the world's tallest building. While it’s impressive to see from the base, it’s worth heading up to its topmost observation deck—on floor 148—for incredible city views.
