Things to Know Before You Go

• Wear warm clothes if you’re visiting in the winter months, as some of the exhibition huts can be chilly.

• Plan to spend a full day making the most of the activities and attractions at Eden Camp and prepare to walk a lot.

• Children ages five and under enter for free and dogs are welcome across the site, excluding the children’s play areas.

• There’s an on-site cafe and gift shop, as well as picnic facilities.

• Eden Camp is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible.

How to Get There

Situated just outside the town of Malton, Eden Camp is easily accessible on foot or by bike from the nearby Malton train station, while the Coastliner bus services which run from various towns and cities across North Yorkshire stop at Eden Camp. There is also free on-site parking.

When to Get There

Eden Camp is typically open daily throughout the year—except for two weeks over the Christmas period—from the mid-morning to the late afternoon. Last admission is always an hour before closing. Eden Camp is especially busy at weekends and during the school holidays, so stop by midweek for a quieter experience and arrive after 2pm when the visiting school groups have departed.
