Plan your visit ahead of time by buying entrance entrance tickets to the Emerald Pool Nature Trail, guaranteeing your access to the trail on busy days. The trail cuts through magnificent overhanging trees and lush vegetation on the way to the pool. Most tours combine a visit to Trafalgar Falls, which can be seen in all their glory from a viewing platform. From here, walk to the smaller waterfall for a swim or find the hot springs at the tallest falls.

How to Get There

The Emerald Pool is located in Dominica on the northern edge of Morne Trois National Park, about 8 miles (12 kilometers) from Roseau. Public mini-vans run from the city directly to the entrance of the park. From there, take the boardwalk to the pool for a 15-minute walk through the forest filled with hummingbirds. If you are taking a bus from Roseau, go in the direction of Castle Bruce.

When to Get There

The park is open daily year-round. The best time to visit Emerald Pool is in the mornings, from December to April when the weather is dry and sunny and the temperatures are comparatively low. Avoid visiting during the rainy season, which generally lasts from June to November, with a high probability of hurricanes in September and October.
