Etihad Towers

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

One of Abu Dhabi's most recognizable landmarks, the Etihad Towers is a mixed-use complex consisting of five massive towers that feature restaurants, retail shops, residences, and offices. The Conrad Abud Dhabi hotel and its observation deck café are big draws for visitors here.

The basics

Even if you’re not planning to visit the towers to shop or dine, it’s worth checking them out from the outside, particularly if you’re interested in architecture. The towers are a popular stop on Abu Dhabi tours, including day tours from Dubai, and are frequently visited in conjunction with other key attractions, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Emirates Palace.

Things to know before you go

  • The Etihad Towers are a must-see for architecture fans.
  • The towers are accessible for wheelchairs, while its public areas have accessible restroom facilities.
  • Reservations are required at many of the restaurants inside the towers, including the Observation Deck at 300.
  • There are underground parking lots if you’re arriving by car.

How to get there

The Etihad Towers are located near the coast of Abu Dhabi, about a 20-minute walk or 3-minute drive from Corniche Beach. There are quite a few hotels within walking distance, and taxi drivers will know exactly where to take you if you're coming from farther afield. Many tours also visit the towers, and some give you an hour or so to explore them independently.

When to get there

While there's never a bad time to visit the Etihad Towers, many people opt for a sunset trip, when you can take in fantastic views of the Corniche from the Observation Deck at 300 inside the Conrad Abud Dhabi. If you just want to see the exteriors, consider coming at night when the towers are illuminated.

The Observation Deck at 300

For many visitors, the main reason to visit the Etihad Towers is for the chance to see the Observation Deck at 300 on the 74th floor of the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers hotel. It's the highest vantage point in the city and a great place to take in views while dining on light fare, such as snacks and sandwiches. Tickets are required, but part of the ticket price is redeemable against food and drink.
