It’s an ideal destination for anyone with shopping on their minds or those seeking a break from sightseeing.
The basics
The Eurovea Galleria is spread across two buildings and three floors. Some sightseeing tours in Bratislava may stop by this popular shopping mall briefly, but most visitors arrive independently. Shopping may be the main draw here, but anyone interested in modern architecture may also want to stop by and see the striking design of its 2023 expansion, complete with a glass–domed roof.
Things to know before you go
Enjoy three hours of free parking on weekdays and five hours on weekends with a validated ticket.
Each building has several elevators providing access to its three floors.
Restaurant options at the Eurovea Galleria mostly offer modern and international cuisine, rather than typical Slovakian dishes.
How to get there
Visitors can walk to the Eurovea Galleria from Bratislava’s Old Town in 10-20 minutes. It’s also easy to reach by public transport: there are numerous bus routes that stop there, including the 28, 50, 70, 78, 88, 90 and 133. Alternatively, you can ride the tram to stop Šafárikovo námestie.
When to get there
Eurovea Galleria is open daily from morning until evening, although some establishments operate their own hours, such as the fitness center and casino. Expect the shopping mall to be busiest on weekends, especially Saturdays, and quietest early in the week. Restaurants along the outdoor promenade are typically open for all mealtimes.
The Eurovea Embankment
Between the Eurovea Galleria and the Danube, visitors will find a promenade and the green slopes of the Eurovea Embankment. This relaxed park space sits next to the mall’s outer restaurants and is an ideal spot for a riverside picnic. The park includes a raised viewing platform to admire the Danube scenery, while the forested banks opposite create the illusion that you’re no longer in the city.
