POINT OF INTEREST

FlyOver Iceland

Reykjavik, Iceland

FlyOver Iceland is a multi-sensory experience that creates the feeling of flight using special effects and a 65-foot (20-meter) spherical screen. The wraparound screen showcases Iceland’s dazzling landscape as you sail over fjords, glaciers, and more. With music, wind, and scents surrounding you, the state-of-the-art technology lets you see many of the country’s natural attractions from the comfort of your seat in this thrill ride.

The basics

While the FlyOver Iceland experience lasts 35 minutes, the ride is 8.5 minutes long. The rest of the time includes a pre-flight briefing and two shows: one that tells a Viking tale and another detailing Iceland’s history. While the Iceland ride is available year-round, FlyOver has temporary experiences that show other parts of the world and typically run for a few months or more.

Things to know before you go
