When visiting Frogmore House, you start with security checks before gaining access to the interiors. The route is clearly marked, with select rooms open for public viewing, and an average visit takes about two hours. Highlights include Queen Charlotte’s botanical decorations, watercolors by Queen Victoria and her mother, the Duchess of Kent; and the Britannia Room, showcasing items collected by Prince Philip from the Royal Yacht Britannia. Things to know before you go
Frogmore House is largely wheelchair-accessible. There are three steps up to the main entrance, but this area can also be accessed via a ramp. Manual wheelchairs can be rented free of charge. Photography is prohibited inside Frogmore House, but photography is allowed in the gardens. There are bathroom and baby-care facilities available outside Frogmore House. Strollers can’t be brought inside the house and must be left at the entrance. There is an on-site shop that’s open on charity days and wheelchair-accessible bathrooms near the house.

The nearest train station to Frogmore House is Windsor & Eton Central. It’s about a 15-minute walk or a 4-minute taxi ride from the station to Frogmore House. To get to Windsor & Eton Central, trains run regularly from London Paddington, providing convenient access for visitors who are staying in London.

Frogmore House is generally open to the public only on a few charity open days each year.
