International Commerce Centre

1 Austin Road West, West Kowloon, Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Located in West Kowloon, the 118-story International Commerce Centre (ICC) is the tallest building in Hong Kong, rising a dizzying 1,588 feet (484 meters). A landmark in Hong Kong, it’s part of the Union Square development and houses offices, a 360-degree observation deck, a 5-star hotel, and a multilevel luxury shopping mall.

The Basics

Find the Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck and stunning views on the 100th floor. The Ritz-Carlton, which occupies floors 102 to 118, has several restaurants and the Ozone Bar. Located in the basement, Elements Shopping Mall offers over 120 shops, an ice rink, and a massive cinema complex.

Easy to visit independently, Sky100 is included in some multiattraction passes and is a stop on the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus, or opt for a private tour to add ICC to a customized sightseeing itinerary. To view the ICC from a different perspective, book a Victoria Harbor boat cruise or a helicopter tour.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • ICC is ideal for first-time visitors to Hong Kong.

  • Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture stunning views from the building.

  • Visitors may have to undergo a security check to enter Sky100.

  • Both Sky100 and the Ritz-Carlton are wheelchair-accessible.

How to Get There

ICC is located above Kowloon Station in West Kowloon, a major transport hub. There are easy connections to the airport on the Airport Express and to elsewhere in Hong Kong by MTR, bus, and minibus. Taxis are also plentiful and convenient, with the Western Harbor Tunnel located next to the building.

When to Get There

Opt for a clear day for the best views from ICC. Visit just before sunset and stay for the nighttime views—the nightly Symphony of Lights show starts at 8pm and lasts for about 10 minutes. ICC also hosts its Light and Music Show at 7:45pm and 9pm nightly, but it’s best to view this from across the harbor on Hong Kong Island.

City and World Records

At 1,289 feet (393 meters) above sea level, Sky100 is the highest observation deck in the city. The elevators in the building, the fastest double-decker elevators in the city, can travel 100 floors in just 60 seconds. Located on the 118th floor, the swimming pool and Ozone Bar at the Ritz-Carlton are both the highest in the world. In 2013, the ICC Light and Music Show set the Guinness World Record for the largest light-and-sound show on a single building.
