Located in Yau Ma Tei, the Jade Market houses hundreds of stalls selling jade in all shapes and sizes, including jewelry, souvenirs, accessories, figurines, knickknacks, and more. In addition to jade, vendors sell pearls and semiprecious stones, as well as calligraphy and letter-writing services.
The Basics
The Jade Market comprises two connected parts, with over 300 stalls on one side and around 100 stalls on the other side. This is a great place to pick up a souvenir or inexpensive jewelry. You can find a vast array of products here, from rings, bracelets, pendants, necklaces, and earrings to carved figurines, trinkets, and ornaments. A few stalls also offer calligraphy or letter-writing services. Many visitors combine a visit to the Jade Market with a stop at other nearby markets, such as the Flower Market, Goldfish Market, and the Ladies Market, either independently or as part of a sightseeing tour.

How to Get There
The Jade Market is located in Yau Ma Tei, in Kowloon. By public transportation, take the MTR to Yau Ma Tei Station (exit C) and walk along Nathan Road to Kansu Street. Continue on Kansu Street until you reach the market.
When to Get There
The Jade Market is open daily. Different stalls will have different opening hours, but most tend to be open from 10am to 4pm. For the best prices, it’s a good idea not to visit just prior to Chinese holidays, especially Chinese New Year, as the prices may be inflated.
