The Johnson Geo Centre is an underground geological museum in Newfoundland with 12 different attractions. Learn the history of planet Earth (and space) through interactive exhibits, feature presentations, and tours. The ultra-modern building features a glass-walled elevator to help you get around.
Explore the Johnson Geo Centre's four main exhibits—Our Planet, Our Province, Our People, and Our Future and Space—each combines informative panels with hands-on activities and artifacts. Visit to-scale model of the solar system; aquariums that features creatures from the Gardens of the Deep; two theaters, one of which is 3-D; and Johnson Geo Vista Park, home to eight interlooped walkways that pass plants and stones dating back millions of years.

The center is located on Signal Hill Road and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Newfoundland and Labrador. From downtown St. John’s, you can walk to the center in 25 minutes or take a taxi.
Johnson Geo Centre is open from morning until early evening, Monday-Friday, year-round. Tours take place throughout the day, July-September.
