Visitors can admire the domes and spires from the outside or enter the network of buildings to explore the interior. You can take a guided tour of the mosque or visit on a tour that includes other highlights of the Indian Quarter such as the Victoria Street Market.

How to Get There

The mosque is located on Dr. Yusuf Dadoo Street (formerly known as Grey Street) in the heart of the Indian Quarter. Centrally located in Durban, you can reach the mosque on foot or by taxi from many downtown accommodations. Alternatively, skip the hassle of navigation and visit on a guided tour that includes hotel pickup and drop-off.

When to Get There

The mosque is open to the public on weekdays from 9am–4pm and Saturday from 9am–1pm. Locals worshipers flock to the mosque midday on Fridays, so expect it to be busy at that time.
