Jungceylon
Patong, Phuket, Thailand
Downtown Phuket’s one-stop shop for fashion, dining, and entertainment, Jungceylon is a megamall with a jungle theme, designed with high, airy spaces and lots of indoor greenery and water features. It’s one of the biggest shopping centers in southern Thailand, where you’ll find more than 200 stores selling everything from clothes and computers to perfume and sunglasses.
The basics
Jungceylon is divided into four nature-themed zones: The Jungle, The Bay, The Garden, and Botanica. The Jungle has a wealth of clothes and accessory brands, plus a destination for Thai massages and other spa treatments, while the semi-outdoor Bay section has a lifesize Chinese junk boat with a catwalk for hosting events. The Botanica is home to art installations and sculptures, as well as Thai department stores, and The Garden is the place to come for food and drink, with a plethora of restaurants and bars.
Things to know before you go
You can use the shopping mall website to search for stores and restaurants online.
Ideal for families, Jungceylon is home to a state-of-the-art 4D cinema, a soft play and ballpark, and a trampoline park.
The shopping mall is fully wheelchair accessible, and you can rent strollers and wheelchairs from the information points.
All of the shops inside the mall accept credit and debit cards, so you don’t need to worry about bringing cash.
How to get there
Jungceylon is at Rat-u-thit 200 Pee Road, not far from Patong Beach (it’s only a 10-minute walk from the sand) in Phuket. The Phuket Smart Bus shuttles travelers between Phuket Airport, Jungceylon, Patong Beach, and Rawai Beach from morning to late evening, following a scenic beachfront route.
When to get there
The Jungceylon complex is open from late morning to night, though separate businesses follow their own opening hours. Stores tend to open early and close early, while restaurants and bars generally have later opening and closing times. There’s also live entertainment at the mall—you can check upcoming dates on the website.
What to eat at Jungceylon
Jungceylon’s dining options represent the entire world’s cuisines. While you’ll find the usual fast-food staples and Thai classics such as chicken satay skewers and pad thai, there are also more upmarket choices, such as the Michelin-starred dim sum chain Din Tai Fung, and a steakhouse inspired by Argentine cooking styles. There’s also a European-inspired wine store with hundreds of varietals.
