A short drive from Ensenada, Las Cañadas Campamento is a camping resort that offers accommodation options, a range of outdoor activities, and dining in one easy vacation-wrapped package. Without much planning, enjoy camp-like lodgings with plenty of fun things to do on-site, including all-terrain vehicle rides, a water park, ziplining, and pedal boating. It’s particularly great for families with children, as there’s plenty to keep kids entertained.
The basics
Admission to the campground comes in various forms, including day passes, overnight campground reservations, eco-cabin rentals, teepees, and lake villa stays. Access to facilities is included for guests, such as multiple swimming pools, sports areas, and pedal boats, Some activities incur extra costs, such as ziplining, horseback riding, and ATV rentals. There’s also a restaurant and grocery store on-site.

Admission for children is based on height: kids who are 39 inches (1 meter) or shorter are free.
There is no weight limit for canopy tours but participants must fit in safety harnesses.
Seniors with INAPAM or INSEN cards for Mexican citizens or legal residents receive admission discounts.
How to get there
Las Cañadas Campamento lies just inland from the Bajan Coast about 16 miles (25 kilometers) south of Ensenada. It’s a roughly 30–45-minute drive along Highway 1: pass the town of Rancho Cañón Buena Vista, then follow signs for the turn-off on the right side of the highway.
When to get there
You can visit the campground throughout the year, but some facilities close for the winter season from late October to March, including the swimming pools and on-site restaurant. Activities vary significantly based on the time of year—check the calendar on the campground website before booking your visit if there’s a specific activity you’re keen to do.
ATV rides at Las Cañadas Campamento
The ATV track at Las Cañadas offers visitors the chance to experience off-road adventures. The all-dirt road is almost 4 miles (6 kilometers) long and accommodates both ATVs and utility-task vehicles—you can bring your own or rent them from the campground. Admission doesn’t include vehicle rentals.
