Located on Hong Kong’s Victoria Peak, Lion’s Pavilion at the Peak offers some of the best free views in the city. Visit the multilevel structure, built by the Tai Ping Shan chapter of the Lions Club International, alongside plenty of other tourists for the stunning views over Victoria Harbor and the Hong Kong skyline.

Come to Lion's Peak for its superb panoramic views, but don't miss the pavilion itself, with its classical Chinese architecture, colorful tiles, and stone lions. For a better understanding of the skyline, consult the map that identifies key landmarks visible from the pavilion. After taking in the views, set off to explore nearby nature trails, or head up to the Peak Tower complex to browse shops, dine at restaurants, and take in other popular attractions.

Opt for a guided tour of the city, which usually includes a stop at Victoria Peak, along with other popular attractions, such as Stanley Market, Man Mo Temple, and Avenue of Stars. Consider a nighttime tour and include a scenic Victoria Harbor cruise.

How to Get There

Lion’s Pavilion at the Peak is located on Victoria Peak. The most iconic way to reach Victoria Peak is aboard the Peak Tram, which departs from the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on Garden Road. Bus 15 and Minibus 1 also take passengers to Victoria Peak. The most expensive option is to take a taxi. Guided tours often include round-trip transportation.

When to Get There

Lion’s Pavilion at the Peak is popular and often gets crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays. Visit is in late afternoon or early evening for sunset and nighttime views, including the nightly Symphony of Lights show on Victoria Harbor, but expect crowds as it's a popular time to visit. Arrive early in the morning for a more serene experience.

Other Viewpoints at the Peak

The best view on Victoria Peak is from Sky Terrace 428, in the Peak Tower. Perched at 1,404 feet (428 meters) above sea level, it’s one of the best 360-degree viewing platforms in the city. There is a fee to enter Sky Terrace 428. The Peak Galleria Terrace offers a free alternative, and can be found on the lower Level 3.
