Magic Kingdom® Park

1180 Seven Seas Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, FL, 32830

Magic Kingdom® Park is one of the four theme parks that make up Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, Florida. The park features a plethora of enchanting displays such as fireworks, musical parades, and close-up encounters with Disney characters. It’s home to the iconic Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain® roller coaster, and it includes different magical lands such as Frontierland®, which emulates America’s Wild West with cacti and geysers.

The basics

Magic Kingdom Park features attractions across six distinct lands—Adventureland®, Fantasyland®, Tomorrowland®, Frontierland®, Main Street U.S.A.®, and Liberty Square. Guests of all ages will find many fun things to see and do, and attractions range from thrilling to nostalgic. The park is also known for unique forms of entertainment such as the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, Mickey’s Friendship Faire, and Happily Ever After—a nighttime spectacular with immersive projections, stunning fireworks, captivating music, and familiar Disney friends.

Things to know before you go

  • Magic Kingdom Park is open daily, but hours vary by season.
  • Wheelchairs and strollers can be brought from home or rented from all Walt Disney World parks, as well as Disney Springs®.
  • Stroller wagons and strollers larger than 31 inches (79 centimeters) in width and 52 inches (132 centimeters) in length are not permitted.
  • Arriving at the parks early in the day is recommended so as to avoid long attraction lines.
  • To avoid long lines for food and beverages, many people use the My Disney Experience app to place a mobile food order.
  • To visit other parks, use the complimentary network of monorails, buses, and boats.

How to get there

A vast majority of visitors get to the parks by car, though it’s also possible to arrive by Walt Disney World Bus Transportation or Walt Disney World Water Transportation.

When to get there

Since the park is a popular destination among families and their children, the busiest time of year is when school is not in session. So expect long lines when visiting during summer vacation, spring break, winter holidays, and other public holidays when schools are off. If you want to avoid large crowds and long lines, the best time to visit is midweek during the school year.

Popular attractions at Magic Kingdom Park

Magic Kingdom Park is known for its exciting rides, including the iconic Space Mountain® Attraction, which zips guests through the darkness of outer space at high speeds. Then there’s the Haunted Mansion® Attraction, which takes guests on a spooky graveyard excursion inside vehicles called Doom Buggies. Another highly popular attraction is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, a roller coaster ride that zooms through an underground mine.
