Mannerheim Museum

The basics

Admission to the Mannerheim Museum is by guided tour only. During tours, a staff member will show you around the interior and share information on Mannerheim’s role in key events in Finnish history. The majority of the rooms inside the museum have been kept to appear as they would have in the 1940s, when Mannerheim lived there, with the exception of three exhibition rooms on the first floor, which display items connected to the Finnish war hero.

Admission to the museum is included with select sightseeing passes, some of which also include hop-on hop-off bus transport, meaning you can get to the museum easily.

• The museum is not wheelchair accessible.

How to get there

The Mannerheim Museum is situated in the Kaivopuisto district of Helsinki. It can be easily accessed by public transport: ride the tram (line 2 or 3) to the Kaivopuisto stop.

When to get there

The Mannerheim Museum is open from late morning to mid-afternoon, Friday–Sunday. The last tour is mid-afternoon, an hour before closing. The museum typically closes for several days during the Christmas/New Year season, the Easter period, and around midsummer, so if you’re visiting during these times, check the opening schedule in advance.
