Located in the Zhongshan district of Taipei, the Miramar Entertainment Park is a landmark shopping mall known for the large ferris wheel on its roof. It’s also home to plenty of shops, restaurants, a popular food hall, one of the largest IMAX theaters in Asia, and other gaming and entertainment options.
The basics
Enjoy spectacular views of Taipei from one of the 48 carriages on the 229-foot (70-meter) diameter ferris wheel, each capable of holding six passengers. Families with kids, or the young at heart, will enjoy the many other entertainment options offered, such as the rooftop carousel or the various arcade and gaming options. Watch the latest movie release on a giant IMAX screen; indulge in some retail therapy at one of the many shops inside the mall; or refuel at a restaurant or the popular food court in the basement, which offers a wide range of local and international cuisine.

- Children aged 6 and under, with valid ID, can ride the ferris wheel for free, when accompanied by an adult.
- Each ferris wheel ride takes around 17 minutes.
- The ferris wheel is wheelchair accessible.

How to get there
Miramar Entertainment Park is located in the Dazhi area of the Zhongshan district. Drivers should take the Jingye 3rd Road. There’s parking on-site but it oftens fills up, especially on weekends. By MRT, take the Wenshan-Neihu Line to Jiannan Road Station. There are shuttles to the mall from Jiantan Station, Zhongshan Junior High Station, and Neihu Software Park Station. A number of buses also stop nearby.
When to get there
The mall is open daily from late morning until late evening. The ferris wheel offers extended hours until midnight on weekends. Visit during the week for smaller crowds. Tickets for the ferris wheel are also cheaper during the week. Allow extra time to wait for the special clear cabins on the ferris wheel.

The ferris wheel at Miramar Entertainment Park offers one of the best panoramic views in Taipei.
