Moca is located in the central region of the Dominican Republic, around 11 miles (18 kilometers) east of Santiago de los Caballeros, and is connected by a highway. The closest airport is Cibao International Airport, 11 miles (18 kilometers) from the town. It’s easiest to take a taxi or drive to Moca.
When to get there
Moca can be visited at any time. It doesn't see many tourists, so crowds are rarely an issue. Winter, spring, and fall offer the best weather for outdoor activities, and the Carnival in February is an especially festive time to visit.

Moca is just a short drive away from the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, Santiago de los Caballeros, which is rich in art, culture, nightlife, and sports, including baseball and basketball. Visitors can also visit a rum and tobacco factory, while outdoor enthusiasts have easy access to the Cordillera Central mountains and water activities like whitewater rafting.
