How to Get There
The lookout is 4 miles (7 kilometers) west of Brisbane’s central business district. Take the Translink Bus 471 from Adelaide Street, a taxi, or a ride-sharing service. If driving by car, you’ll find plenty of free off-street parking.

Mt Coot-tha offers a different experience depending on the time of day you visit. Come during the day to enjoy the outdoor recreation opportunities or a meal at the café or restaurant, or visit at night to take in the sparkling lights of the city.
Brisbane Botanical Gardens
On your way to or from the top of Mt Coot-tha, be sure to stop at the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. This 138-acre (56-hectare) green space is free to enter and includes a Japanese garden, tropical dome, playground, and the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium.
